Computer Software Issues.
A lawyer must make the appropriate decisions related to the software applications that a lawyer will be using. This course is meant as a framework for addressing many of the software application decisions a lawyer will make when establishing a modern law firm. First, this lesson will generally address the different types of software applications that are available, breaking software into two broad categories: (a) cloud or internet-based software; and (b) locally-installed software. Then Microsoft and its alternatives are discussed followed by a review of software for billing, backup, database info, and remote computer access.
